Settings · Account

Manage your personal account.

Update your profile and avatar, change your password, tune notification and display preferences, choose a theme, and control which widgets appear on your dashboard.

Where to find your settings

Everything personal to you lives on the Settings page. The page is organized into a side navigation with sections for Profile, Availability, Appearance, Preferences, Notifications, Security, and Data and Privacy. On smaller screens that navigation becomes a horizontal strip you can scroll through.

Settings are personal to your account, not your organization. Changing your theme or notification preferences only affects what you see. Organization-wide configuration lives in Organization settings instead.

TipMost profile fields save automatically the moment you click away from them, so there is no separate Save button for your name, email, phone, or address.

Profile and personal details

The Profile section holds your personal information: full name, email address, phone number, and a mailing address split into street, city, state, and ZIP. Each field saves on its own as soon as you finish editing it. The phone number is formatted automatically as you type, and the email field is checked for a valid format and for conflicts with another account before it saves.

A read-only Account card shows your numeric user ID and the date you joined, which is handy when you contact support.

  • Your email cannot be changed while an administrator is impersonating your account.
  • If you enter an email already used by another account, Lavori blocks the change and tells you the address is in use.

Compensation rates

Below your personal details, the Compensation Rates card holds your default hourly rate and day rate. For most members these are the default rates used when scheduling and billing your time.

If you belong to an organization as a contractor, these fields are read-only and marked with a lock icon. Contractors can see their current rates but cannot change them; an administrator has to update a contractor's pay rate.

Profile photo

Your avatar appears throughout the app. To change it, hover over the avatar in the Profile section and click the camera icon, then choose an image. PNG, JPEG, and WebP files are accepted, and the original upload must be under 8 MB.

After you pick a file, a crop tool opens so you can frame the image before saving. The cropped result is stored as your photo. If you already have a photo, a Remove photo link clears it and falls back to your initials.

NoteThe cropped image is saved at up to 2 MB. If your crop comes out larger than that, Lavori asks you to try a tighter crop or a smaller source image.

Theme and appearance

The Appearance section lets you choose how the app looks: Light, Dark, or System. System follows your device or browser setting and switches automatically between light and dark.

Your choice applies instantly and is saved to your account, so the same theme follows you to other devices when you sign in.

Display preferences

The Preferences section controls a couple of display behaviors. Items Per Page sets how many rows lists show before paging, with options of 10, 25, 50, or 100. Dashboard Refresh sets how often, in seconds, your dashboard reloads its data.

Unlike profile fields, these preferences are saved together when you click Save Preferences.

Notification preferences

The Notifications section has three switches. Push Notifications controls whether you receive in-app notifications. Email Notifications controls whether those alerts are also sent to your email address. Message Sound controls whether a sound plays when a new message arrives.

Push and email toggles are saved when you click Save Preferences. The message sound toggle saves on its own as soon as you flip it, and it also takes effect immediately for the current session.

Dashboard widgets

Your home dashboard is built from widgets such as Getting Started, the Metrics Bar, Projects Overview, Scheduling, Recent Activity, Billing, and CRM. You decide which ones appear.

Open the three-dot menu in the top-right of the dashboard to see a checklist of every widget. Tick or untick a widget to show or hide it, and the change is saved to your account right away so your layout is the same wherever you sign in. A Reset to defaults option restores the standard set of visible widgets.

NoteWidget visibility is managed from the dashboard itself rather than the Settings page, and it is remembered per user across your devices.

Password and security

The Security section is where you change your password. Enter your current password, then your new password twice. Your new password must meet Lavori's strength rules, and changing it signs you back out so you can log in fresh with the new credentials.

This section also surfaces two-factor authentication and session controls, including a session timeout and an auto-logout switch that ends idle sessions automatically. Passwords cannot be changed while your account is being impersonated by an administrator.
