The Lavori mobile app
Lavori's iPhone app puts the on-site basics in your pocket: today's work, your schedule, tasks, Threads, and clock in. Staff and crew each get a version of the app shaped around their own work.
Getting the app
The new Lavori iPhone app, which adds clock in, Threads, and a notification inbox for crew and staff, is currently in testing through Apple's TestFlight on its way to the App Store. Ask your organization's administrator how to get access.
While you are testing it, the app may appear on your home screen as Lavori v2. It signs in to the same Lavori account and works with the same data as the web app.
Signing in
Sign in with the email address and password for your Lavori account. If you forgot your password, use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. The app has no sign-up screen: create your account on the web or by accepting an organization invitation, then sign in.
If your account uses two-factor authentication, the app asks for the 6-digit code sent to your email. You can paste the code, resend it, and choose Trust this device for 30 days so you are not asked again on this phone for that period. Trusting a device is off unless you turn it on.
The header shows your active organization. Tap it to switch organizations; each organization's work stays separate.
What staff can do
Admins and members share the same tabs: Today, Schedule, Tasks, and Threads. Your organization's access rules decide what you see inside each one.
- Today: your day as a timeline with a week rail to move between days, items waiting on your decision, a Your shift card for clocking in, and an On site today card for the team's shifts.
- Schedule: Actions for approving or denying shift claims, Events, and My Shifts.
- Tasks: your team's open tasks, a Mine filter for tasks assigned to you, and quick add.
- Threads: your team conversations, with unread counts on the tab.
- More: Projects, AI Assistant, Directory, Availability, Support, and Settings.
What crew can do
Contractors get the same four tabs plus Hours, and every list shows only their own work. The app follows the same rules as the Crew Portal on the web and is available on plans that include the contractor portal.
- Today: today's shifts with clock in on the shift underway or next up, shift offers to accept or decline, open tasks, and a preview of open shifts you can claim.
- Schedule: My Shifts and Find Work, where you claim or apply for open shifts.
- Tasks: the tasks assigned to you.
- Hours: your draft and submitted time. Fix a draft's hours, adding a note when they differ from the schedule, and submit your drafts. Approval and payment stay with your organization.
- More: My projects, Profile & availability (your roles and rates, weekly availability, and certifications), Support, and Settings.
Search and notifications
The search button in the header searches projects, events, and contacts, and shows recent items when the box is empty. Results follow your role, so crew see only their own projects and the people on their shifts.
The bell opens your notification inbox across every organization you belong to. Tapping a notification switches the app to that notification's organization and team and opens the record. Mark all read marks everything in the inbox as read.
To get alerts on your phone, turn on Push Notifications under Settings, then Notifications. Push alerts cover eligible Threads and Support activity. Muting a thread stops its alerts. The same screen controls email notifications and which events notify you.
Keeping your account secure
Under Settings, then Security, you can change your password, require Face ID to open the app, and set a session timeout with Auto Logout. With Auto Logout on, time the app spends in the background counts as inactivity, and you are signed out once the timeout passes.
- Face ID lock is available when your phone has Face ID set up; you can fall back to your device passcode.
- Signing out removes the session from the phone and stops push alerts to it.
Permissions the app asks for
These are the iPhone permissions the app uses. You can change any of them later in your phone's Settings.
- Location, while using the app: used once when you clock in to check that you are at the venue. Your position is not stored.
- Camera and photos: to capture or attach images to project files and chats.
- Microphone: for voice commands to the AI assistant.
- Face ID: to unlock the app when you turn on the biometric lock.
